HOW TO USE THE AED
AED stands for automated external defibrillator. It is designed to restart a person’s heart in the event of a heart attack. If you suspect a player is having a heart attack, first call 911. Our address for the ambulance is 63 Manchester Road, Newton Highlands.
Only after you have called 911, grab the AED. It will talk you through what to do (place the AED pads on the victim’s chest; it takes a reading, tells you if further use is appropriate and what to do next). The AED is in the shed behind Court 4 on the shelf immediately to your left.
Do not use or touch the AED outside of an emergency. It can only be used once to save someone’s life.
